In August 2025, the teams of EGO Zlín and Tech Flow SA took part in a week-long business trip to Bahrain, where training was conducted for the personnel of the Ministry of Interior (MOI). The goal was to transfer know-how, provide practical demonstrations of the supplied decontamination technologies, and ensure their full integration into local conditions. The event was concluded with the handover of fully operational systems and opened the door for further cooperation in the region.
Between August 23 and 29, 2025, a business trip took place in Manama and Riffa involving employees of EGO Zlín and our business and service partner Tech Flow SA. The purpose of the trip was the practical training of the personnel of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Ministry of Interior of Bahrain, the assembly, and subsequent handover of fully functional decontamination technologies for use by the fire and rescue units.
The main objectives of the business trip were:
inspection of the completeness of individual technologies and verification of their functionality prior to handover,
practical operator training and verification of their readiness for real-life deployment of individual technologies, in particular: the decontamination ring with pool, the EDK-08 decontamination shower, and the three-corridor decontamination tent – all including full accessories for potential use in real situations,
in addition to the training of the broader operating personnel, specialized training was also carried out for groups of supervisors, who will be responsible during exercises or real-life deployments for overseeing the proper use of individual technologies and the organization surrounding the movement of responders and affected persons,
in connection with the extremely hot and humid climate, which is standard for the Gulf region, several minor technical issues were promptly resolved during the training. These will be given increased attention in future deliveries to these countries.
As a result of the above, fully functional technologies were handed over to personnel prepared for immediate deployment.
Conclusion
The training in Bahrain fulfilled its purpose – to test the delivered technologies under real conditions, ensure their reliable operation, and provide local personnel with the necessary knowledge. At the same time, the event provided valuable experience with operations in high-temperature and high-humidity environments, which we will use in the preparation of future projects. The successful completion of the training laid the foundation for continued cooperation in the Gulf region.

The international workshop BIOHAZARD TEAM 2025 took place on 2 December 2025 at the EGO Zlín Academy. Experts from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Austria shared their experience in managing high-consequence infectious diseases and provided valuable feedback for further development of equipment and procedures used by biohazard response teams.
