Our Equipment in Action – Transport of a Suspected Ebola Patient Confirmed the Readiness of the Czech Emergency System
In recent days, an exceptional event occurred in the Czech Republic – a patient with a suspected highly contagious disease, specifically Ebola, was transported from Tábor to the Na Bulovce Hospital in Prague.
The entire operation was carried out in cooperation with the Integrated Rescue System (IZS) and under strict safety measures. We are proud to confirm that our specialized medical devices – the Biovak transport isolation unit and the Biobox isolation chamber – were used during this emergency.
Our company is a Czech manufacturer of these critical products, specifically designed and certified for the safe transport and isolation of patients with highly infectious diseases. In this case, they played a crucial role in protecting both the emergency personnel and the general public. The Biovak transport unit enables the safe transfer of patients in a negative-pressure environment, equipped with an integrated filtration and ventilation system to prevent the escape of hazardous pathogens.
Upon arrival at the specialized infectious disease department at Na Bulovce Hospital, the patient was placed in our Biobox isolation chamber, which allows for safe patient accommodation, diagnosis, and treatment – all without direct contact between medical personnel and the potentially infectious environment.
This incident highlights not only the importance of preparedness in the healthcare system but also confirms the effectiveness and reliability of our products. We thank all involved emergency teams for their professionalism and trust in our solutions.
