On April 23-24, 2025, a presentation event of EGO Zlín, spol. s ro in cooperation with the Italian partner SAGO MEDICA srl took place in the Italian cities of Pieve di Cento (Bologna) and Mestre (Venice), focused on demonstrating a decontamination system solution in the field of crisis management and population protection.
The event was attended by representatives of emergency and civil protection organizations from the Emilia-Romagna, Campania and Venice regions, such as the 118 emergency services, the Red Cross, Civil Protection, Fire Departments, representatives of AUSL hospitals including the management of the SUEM organization and many others. The presentation included practical demonstrations of mobile decontamination equipment such as quickly set up devices in the form of inflatable showers or tents, as well as other equipment for securing the transport of patients suspected of highly dangerous infections (e.g. hemorrhagic fevers, which are a very pressing problem for Italy due to migration), personal protective equipment for contact with dangerous infections, or special boxes for handling potential biological risks.
Also significant was the demonstration of real excercise directly at the base of the CBRN Mestre fire brigade using chemicals, e.g. in the form of liquid ammonia and detection devices, which confirmed the high quality and effective efficiency of Czech equipment.
The event received very positive feedback and resulted in concrete business opportunities, as well as a great opportunity to exchange experiences and recommendations that will be implemented into the offered equipment, so that they are maximally suitable for use not only in regular exercises, but especially in real situations.
This successful presentation is another step in strengthening the position of Czech manufacturers in the field of emergency events on the Italian market.
Based on this successful mission, a similar event is planned for the second half of the year for end users from the southern part of Italy.
